FAQ
Questions
Will my callers know it's an AI?
Yes. Every call starts with a short notice saying so. We think callers deserve to know, and an honest AI that books their showing beats a voicemail box.
Does it sound like a robot?
Listen and decide. Book a demo and we'll call it together. It talks at a normal pace, lets people interrupt, and keeps its answers short.
Does it give real estate advice?
No. It's an assistant, not an agent. It repeats the listing facts you gave it, answers the questions you've covered and books showings. It never gives an opinion on price, offers, neighbourhoods or the market. When a caller asks "Would they take less?" or "What's my home worth?", it says that's a question for you and puts them through or takes a message.
What if it gets something wrong?
It answers from the information you give it, and when it doesn't know, it says so and takes a message. It also won't tell a caller a showing is booked until the booking has actually gone through. You can read the transcript of every call, so if an answer was off, you'll see it and can fix it in a minute.
Can I keep my phone number?
Yes. Forward your existing number to RealInfoBot, for every call or only when you don't pick up. Or get a new local or toll-free number from us for your signs.
Does it work with my calendar?
It books into Google Calendar. Outlook isn't supported yet. There's no connection to MLS or your CRM yet, so you enter listing facts yourself. Zapier, webhooks or the API can pass calls and bookings to your CRM. Talk to us and we'll tell you honestly whether it'll work for you.
Can it put calls through to me?
Yes. It transfers calls to you or anyone on your team. You decide when, in plain words: "Put through any seller who wants to talk about listing their home."
What languages does it speak?
English and French. It starts in the one you choose and switches if the caller speaks the other.
How long does setup take?
Most of it is typing in what you already know: your listings, your service area and the questions buyers always ask. You can also point it at your website and let it read it.
Do I need to be technical?
No. If you can fill in a form and forward a phone number, you can set it up. If you'd rather we did it, Enterprise includes dedicated setup help. Contact us
How much does it cost?
Starter is CA$37 a month for 150 minutes, and Pro is CA$87 for 500. Every feature is on every plan. Full pricing
Is there a contract?
No. Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime.
What happens when I go over my minutes?
It keeps answering. Extra minutes are billed at your plan's rate, and you can set a spending cap.
Does it replace my assistant?
It isn't meant to. It covers the calls you and your team can't get to: showings, open houses, time on the road, evenings, weekends. A lot of agents don't have an assistant at all, and that's who it helps most.
Can it handle several calls at once?
Yes. When a new listing goes up and several people call about it, nobody gets a busy signal.
Where is my data stored?
In the United States. We can't offer Canadian data residency yet. Privacy and security explains why and how we protect it.
Can it call people back or make outbound calls?
No. It answers calls. It doesn't make them, so it won't call back leads for you.
Can it reply to text messages?
You can reply to texts by hand from the dashboard. The receptionist doesn't reply to texts on its own yet.
What happens if RealInfoBot is down?
RealInfoBot works hard to stay available, but like any online service it can be interrupted by maintenance or by outages at carriers, AI providers or hosting providers. Forwarding only when you don't pick up keeps your own phone as the first line.
Who's behind RealInfoBot?
Real Info Box, a Calgary company that has made done-for-you email newsletters and market reports for Canadian real estate agents since 2007. About us
